Introduction

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering is one of the major departments of the Institute, which started in 1999 with an intake of 60 seats Now it is increased to 120 seats & 10% under F/W scheme. From current session IInd shift started with intake of 60 seats. The Department is in its tenth year of existence already having NBA Accreditation, ISO certification and In addition to this, M.Tech (Master of Technology) with specialization in “Computer Science & Engg.” has been started from current session with an intake of 18 seats. It has always been in the forefront of Technical Education actively participating in the development of Chhattisgarh state because of its Innovative and Creative Approaches.

Laboratories

The Department has ten well equipped Computer Labs having more than 300 systems, networked together including one hardware lab. The laboratories are kept open for all the six days in a week from 8.00 a.m. to 7.00p.m. Each student of the batch is provided an individual system.

• Computer Centre: Internet Facility BSNL (Bandwidth 2mbps).
• CAD-CAM Labs: To teach AutoCAD, Oracad and Pro E etc. software.
• Multimedia & Animation Lab: To Provide Facility for Multimedia & Animation.
• Ten well equipped laboratories.
• One project lab with VB.Net, JAVA, Visual Prolog, D2k , and Oracle facilities.

5. Project on RDBMS.
