PROGRAM   EDUCATIONAL  OBJECTIVE(PEOs)

PEO1: Graduates will be employable and achieve success in their chosen career.
PEO2: Graduates learn and adapt themselves to the constantly evolving technology by pursuing higher studies or research.
PEO3: Graduates will have exposure to emerging cutting edge technologies; will have adequate training, effective communication skills, leadership qualities and opportunities to work as team members on multidisciplinary projects.
PEO4: Graduates will use their understanding of professional, ethical and social responsibilities, the nature and background of diverse cultures and the importance of life-long learning in the conduct of their professional practices.
PEO5: Graduates will acquire core competency in various technical aspects of Computer Science & Engineering according to the requirement of industrial development and socio-economical needs.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs)

PO1 Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
PO3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO4.

Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

PO5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO6.

The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

PO7.

Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

PO8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
PO9. Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
PO10. Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
PO11. Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
PO12. Life-long learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change.

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOME (PSOs)

PSO1: Professional Skills: Have abilities to, analyze, design, develop and evaluate computer software in areas related to web based applications, data security, databases, algorithms, multimedia, networking and data communication.
PSO2: Product Development Skills: Have abilities to apply standard practices and strategies in software project development using open-ended programming environments to deliver innovative quality products for business and societal requirement.
PSO3: Entrepreneurship and Career: Have ability to apply computational platforms, programming and logic development as computer professionals for higher studies and entrepreneurship.  
PSO4: Capable of successfully qualifying in national level competitive examinations for higher studies and employment.

LABORATORIES

LABORATORIES

The Department has well equipped Computer Labs having more than 700 systems, networked together including one hardware lab. The laboratories are kept open for all the six days in a week from 8.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. Each student of the batch is provided an individual system. The Department has the State of Art Laboratories fully equipped Structure Network Cabling, Linux Networking, Individual workspace for students and staff, Latest Software Packages with campus license from Microsoft, Computer Centre: Internet Facility BSNL (Bandwidth 10mbps), Multimedia & Animation Labs.

AIM

Function of student’s association is oriented towards the development and betterment of students through all angles. Through student’s council, various programs are undertaken so that the talents of students in respect of technical ability, cultural and sports talents are put forward.

Association of Computer Engineers (ACE)

The goal of ACE is “to facilitate research, knowledge sharing, learning and career enhancement for all categories of Software Professionals & students, while simultaneously inspiring and nurturing new entrants into the organization and helping them to integrate into the IT community”. CSIT (CSE Dept.) has opened Association of Computer Engineers (ACE) on 27th December, 2003.  ACE in its tenure of 10 years has organized some of exclusive State level & National Level events.
Our vision with ACE is to provide students a platform where they can perform & believe on their inherent qualities.

 

RECENT ACTIVITIES

  • ANCHORONICA`14: TalentHunt for the Anchors was organized on 7th Nov’14, 19th to 22nd Nov’14.
  • Workshop was organized on "Network Simulator and its Applications in Computer Networks" from 21/02/15 to 23/02/15. About 120 students attended the workshop from CSE & IT. The resource person was Dr. Srinivas Sethi Ph.D., Routing in MANET from IGIT, Sarang, Dhenkanal, Odisha.
  • "Hasta-La-Vista” farewell party was organized on 12th April 2015.

Congregation of data in any institution/organization over the years is a common phenomenon and thus managing large amount of data is a common issue. MAHIMA CHOWDHURY ANUSHREE BISWAS ANKITA SHARMA HOME AUTOMATION: Controlling of doors/windows using IOT & sensors. IOT MR. SAURABH AGRAWAL Basically, the project deals with the security & reduction of human work. This project is an idea from ‘Home Automation’ & creating a ‘Smart Home’. Now a days, in all manner in a smart home, there can be different appliances but this is a small idea & application to create automated doors/windows. The doors/windows will be monitoring home.
