AIM OF THE COURSE

The aim of the course is to understand the practices and dynamics required to develop logics & software, whether it be single program or a Major Software product developed in a team environment. The course emphasized reasonably on fundamental ideas through which latest technology is built bridge between Computer Based System and Human. To develop effective oral and written communication skills to develop an understanding of professional and ethical issues related to computing.

  • Various video lectures available including NPTEL in computer labs.

LABORATORIES

The Department has well equipped Computer Labs having more than 700 systems, networked together including one hardware lab. The laboratories are kept open for all the six days in a week from 8.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. Each student of the batch is provided an individual system. The Department has the State of Art Laboratories fully equipped Structure Network Cabling, Linux Networking, Individual workspace for students and staff, Latest Software Packages with campus license from Microsoft, Computer Centre: Internet Facility BSNL (Bandwidth 10mbps), Multimedia & Animation Labs.

AIM

Function of student’s association is oriented towards the development and betterment of students through all angles. Through student’s council, various programs are undertaken so that the talents of students in respect of technical ability, cultural and sports talents are put forward.

Association of Computer Engineers (ACE)

The goal of ACE is “to facilitate research, knowledge sharing, learning and career enhancement for all categories of Software Professionals & students, while simultaneously inspiring and nurturing new entrants into the organization and helping them to integrate into the IT community”. CSIT (CSE Dept.) has opened Association of Computer Engineers (ACE) on 27th December, 2003.  ACE in its tenure of 10 years has organized some of exclusive State level & National Level events.
Our vision with ACE is to provide students a platform where they can perform & believe on their inherent qualities.

 

RECENT ACTIVITIES

  • ANCHORONICA`14: TalentHunt for the Anchors was organized on 7th Nov’14, 19th to 22nd Nov’14.
  • Workshop was organized on "Network Simulator and its Applications in Computer Networks" from 21/02/15 to 23/02/15. About 120 students attended the workshop from CSE & IT. The resource person was Dr. Srinivas Sethi Ph.D., Routing in MANET from IGIT, Sarang, Dhenkanal, Odisha.
  • "Hasta-La-Vista” farewell party was organized on 12th April 2015.

2015-16

1. Web Based Operating System
  This is one of the best projects developed by the students of CSE. Web based operating system provides space, platform as well as Software as a Service application on a single web portal. User can directly use their software in the web like software is Linux based or any O/S based.
2.  Student Feedback System App in Android
Collecting feedback from the users is very important thing for any organization. It enhances relationships between teacher and student. Valuing and asking for feedback has recognized benefits for both staff and students in an institution.

3. Web Design for the Alumni of the CSIT
Web is basically based on the Alumni data; in which every alumnus is directly connected with each other and alumni can search their batch mates as well as seniors and juniors. They can search by name, by location, by area wise, by branch wise, by company wise, every data is filtered and alumnus can provide blogs and lectures etc
4. Automatic watch through Software
In this project students simulated an automatic watch which is supported by the software for maintaining the alarm time of the hooter. Time should be validated through the user. Hardware model is also proposed.
5. E- Sancharika Android App
Sancharika is college magazine which is published in every month. Through this app information of the achievement of the institute is gathered in Electronic form.
 

Best 3 Major Project of 8th Sem. CSE

1.Govt. School Web Site Development (Live Project): This is the live project for Govt school. It involves academic dimensions of the school education so that various works become faster and easily accessible. In this project students have the privilege to view their academic records, the time table of examination and results. The project has practical implications in addition to theoretical.

2.Mobile Tracking System: The project successfully resulted in a Mobile Tracker System that helps to track the current location of ant mobile.

3.RTO Express:  This project aims at the computerizing of the works related to the RTO.  It is the live project meant to address Durg RTO and Krishna RTO. From this application people can pay online chalan and other related fee. The information regarding the RTO procedures, rules etc can be viewed online.
